Back the Clock Topps 5c Pack Promotion Returns! NFL
Kickoff Weekend, September 6 and 7, also kicks off Topps
Turn Back the Clock promotion.
That
weekend get a Turn Back the Clock pack for just 5c. That
pack will have 5 cards in the set with modern players in
the 1959 card style. Every week of the regular season come
back to BOSCO'S, buy a pack of 2008 Topps Football and get
another card from the set.
NBA
Starting 5
Through January 15, 2009.
Purchase 2008-09 NBA Basketball cards, open them at BOSCO'S
and look for any of the Starting 5 players. When you've collected
all Starting 5 players, you get a limited edition NBA Basketball
card and chance to win the Grand Prize trip for 2 to attend
the 2009 NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix. Additional prizes include
a year's worth of NBA Trading Cards.
The
(greatest) Wii Tournament (ever!)
When: Saturday,
November 15th, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm
Where: Mountain View Community Center (315 N. Price St.)
in Anchorage.
Cost: $20 tax-deductible
donation to the AFSC at Stone Soup Group.
Revenues will
go to the Autism Program Stone Soup Group, an Anchorage
based, statewide non-profit organization that helps families
of children & young people with special needs.
The tournament
will include three popular Nintendo Wii games: Mario Kart,
Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and WiiSports Bowling. The winners
of the Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournaments
will receive a brand new Nintendo Wii system, and the winner
of the WiiSports Bowling tournament will win a Wii system
plus a brand new Wii Fit, the Nintendo Wii health & fitness
game.
Proceeds from
the tournament will benefit the new Autism Family Support
Center (AFSC) at Stone Soup Group, which is a project that
helps families of children & youth who experience Autism
and Asperger’s Syndrome.
Refreshments
will be available for purchase, and there will be door prizes,
donated by local businesses.
Many kids and
teens with Autism Spectrum Disorders, like Asperger’s Syndrome,
are very enthusiastic video gamers. Video games give them
a way to interact with others in a non-stressful and entertaining
way. Stone Soup Group’s Autism Family Support Center has
been given one year of funding to provide education, support,
and helpful services to children & youth with Autism Spectrum
Disorders and their families.

LEARN TO FIGHT!

Rec Center (1121 E 10th Ave)

The Highland
Renaissance Group (HRG) will kick off it's first formal
German Longsword class at Fairview Rec. center on Friday
nights starting next Friday Oct the 10th, Students will
be expected to purchase a wooden Longsword waster and a
fencing mask shortly after starting the class.

Fantasy Tournament
Where: Muldoon Elementary School
When: Saturday November 1. Register 8:30-8:50am
Cost: $20
Bring a 3,500
point army to fight for the glory of being the last man
standing! There is over $300 in loot for the top players!
Proceeds go to help Muldoon Elementary School kids go on
fields trips.
The tournament
is being run by Spencer King and hosted by Andrew Long.
